FREE Positive Parenting Workshops Help Parents Manage Challenges

Being a parent can be incredibly rewarding … and incredibly challenging.  There are FREE workshops available to you that will help you manage the big and small challenges of raising kids.  Equip yourself to create a family life with more fun and fewer struggles!  These 90-minute Triple P Workshops are informal presentations designed for groups of parents.  You can choose to do one, two or all three seminars!  

  • The Power of Positive Parenting
    January 24, 2017 – 6:00-7:30pm
    Conover Station Library
    There is no single right way to be a parent.  But, there are ways that parents can make their jobs easier by developing positive loving relationships with their children through encouragement, attention and good communication.  This seminar provides some practical tips for managing common parenting challenges with positive approaches.
  • Raising Confident Competent Children
    January 31, 2017 – 6:00-7:30pm
    Conover Station Library
    Children are more likely to be confident, to succeed at school, and to get along well with others when they develop certain life skills.  This seminar will give parents some ideas on how to help children learn how to become self-confident and capable people. 
  • Raising Resilient Children
    February 7, 2017 – 6:00-7:30pm
    Conover Station Library
    One of the most important tasks of parenthood is helping children learn to deal with their emotions.  This seminar provides parents with some ideas for teaching children how to bounce back after day-to-day disappointments or struggles.
