Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Ornaments

By Ann Becker, Stockton Macaroni Kid December 14, 2011

Here's a fun craft idea shared by one of my fellow publisher moms:

This week we made these easy Reindeer Ornaments with our kids ranging from ages 3-8. They all had a great time making these. I have concluded that adding googley eyes to anything makes it much more fun!

Here is what you need:

  • 1 Mini Clay Pot
  • Brown Acrylic Paint
  • Foam Brush
  • 2 Googley Eyes
  • 1 Red Pom-pom
  • 1 Brown Chenille Stick (pipe cleaner)
  • Glue
  • String
  • Tape

First, let the kids paint the clay pots brown with the foam brush; let dry. Twist up the chenille stick until it looks like antlers and tape to the bottom opening of the clay pot. Add the string for hanging and let the kids glue on the googley eyes (best part), and red nose. Done! Now it's time to sing Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer and hang him on the tree!
