ReSource is one of fewer than 50 creative use centers in the US. In such centers, the focus is on claiming industrial, business and domestic discards for repurposing, thus diverting tons of waste from the local landfills. Operated under the umbrella of Safe Harbor Rescue Mission, the objective is two-fold: to provide job skills and career experience for Safe Harbor's residents and those in transition, while offsetting a portion of program expenses; and to promote creativity, environmental awareness, and community through reuse.
Featured at ReSource is the Arty Party Room. Stop by every Wednesday and Saturday from 12-3pm for Make-and-Take. For just $5 per hour per crafter, make up to 2 crafts with an experienced, licensed educator to assist you. Approved materials in the Arty Party Room are provided at no cost.
The Arty Party Room is a unique and "green" place for birthday parties! For just $12 per child (12 children maximum, 4 children minimum) and a $40 non-refundable deposit due at the time of booking and applied toward the final party fee, it's an hour and a half of fun... One hour making a craft led by a party leader with all craft materials provided and a half hour for refreshments (provided by parents or event hosts who must be present during the entire party).
