Bake up some holiday memories with your kids!

Looking to bake up some holiday memories with your kids?  Try this easy Santa Cookie Treat!  Store-brought ingredients mean quick preparation; experiment with different candies and sprinkles for decoration and have lots of fun making this edible snack craft with your kids.  Serve them at your next holiday party or December playdate; everyone will love them and aren't they oh so cute? 

Ingredients
  • 2 packages (6 oz each) white baking chocolate, chopped
  • 1 package of Nutter Butter Cookies (1lb)
  • Red Colored Sugar
  • 32 vanilla or white chocolate chips
  • 64 mini/or large, chocolate chips
  • 32 red hot candies
Instructions
  1. In heavy sauce pan over low heat, melt white chocolate, stirring occasionally. 
  2. For Santa's hat, dip one end of each cookie into melted chocolate. 
  3. Place on wire rack. 
  4. Sprinkle red sugar on the top part of chocolate. 
  5. Press one vanilla (or white chip) off center on hat for pom pom, let stand until set.
  6. For Santa's beard, dip the other end of each cookie into melted chocolate, leaving the center of the cookie uncovered. 
  7. Place on wire rack. 
  8. With a dab of melted chocolate, attach chocolate chips for eyes and the red hot for a nose. 
  9. Place on waxed paper until chocolate sets. 
Yield: 32 cookies.
