Mains' favorite part of the brownie, the crispy crackers aim to reproduce the crispy edges of chocolate brownies. At 120 calories for a 1oz serving, Brownie Brittle has all the rich brownie taste with an extra crunch but without all the guilt. It has been named a "hot snack" by Weight Watchers at only 3 points and is available in four flavors: Chocolate Chip, Mint Chocolate Chip, Salted Caramel and Toffee Crunch.
I received samples of the Salted Caramel and Toffee Crunch flavors in serving size bags. One bite and Brownie Brittle became my favorite snack to satisfy my sweet tooth. It is different than peanut brittle in that it is not sticky or hard; it has the consistency of a cracker or hard cookie. The taste is chocolatey and very much like a baked brownie. The serving size is just the right amount of this brownie flavored cookie you're sure to love.
My family enjoyed both flavors we tried. Toffee Crunch has a hint of saltiness without an overwhelmingly toffee flavor. The Salted Caramel is my favorite with the right mix of salty and sweet. They taste great straight out of the bag but beware.. this snack is highly addictive! Sheila G. offers some yummy recipes on their website and while I am eager to try many of them, my first thought was that the Brownie Brittle would be out of this world on top of ice cream or frozen yogurt!
We gave out free samples at our Spring Mingle event at di'lishi frozen yogurt bar in Hickory last week and the verdict was unanimous -- all the moms loved the Brownie Brittle! "Wow, that IS good," they said. "Where can I buy some," they asked. Salted Caramel was preferred, though both flavors received rave reviews.
