Big time fun awaits this summer at the Biltmore, location of America's Largest Home with an 8,000-acre backyard that offers glorious gardens, mountain views, horseback riding, standup paddle boarding, fly fishing and Segway tours. Now through Labor Day, kids 16 and younger are admitted free (up to two kids per adult ticket)! The rest of the year, kids ages 9 and younger are admitted free when accompanied by a paying parent or guardian.
The majestic castle is the perfect place to create lifelong memories and Biltmore has a ton of activities to choose from for fantastic family fun. This summer brings two new exhibits on display in Antler Hill Village through September 4th, 2017 that will especially appeal to kids of all ages:
- Toy Models of Biltmore House and the Lodge Gate - An intricate model of Biltmore House and other estate buildings created from thousands of Lego blocks will be on display at the Wine Shop in the Winery, and Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate.
- Vanderbilt Travels Railway - George Vanderbilt’s railway travels are highlighted in a 250-foot long model train display featuring landmarks from Vanderbilt’s international travels. A construction team with Applied Imagination handcrafts architectural elements using leaves, twigs, and natural materials. Five model trains run along five track loops, passing by miniature versions of the Biltmore Rail Depot, the USS Vanderbilt Steamship, Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe, London Bridge, and more.
The Biltmore Estate is very family oriented. Every restaurant is kid-friendly, the winery not only allows children but it also offers them complimentary grape juice, lightweight strollers are allowed (and encouraged) for touring the Biltmore House, and there are many family-friendly activities to enjoy (don't miss the creamery and the wine-stomp!).
