Rethink Your Pretzel with Pretzel Crisps ~ A Review & Recipe

By Megan Black, Hickory NC mom and MacKid contributor October 29, 2015

Anyone that knows me knows that I love to eat and I am never found without a snack on hand. I recently received a variety of Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps and was thrilled to review a snack that my family and I love. Pretzel Crisps are the first and original pretzel shaped cracker made with wholesome and simple ingredients. Picture a pretzel that has been rolled out flat and baked to a crisp. They are very crunchy but aren't crumbly like most crackers or chips that I've tried. These are the perfect snack for every occasion, whether at home or on the go, and my favorite choice for every dip!

I immediately tried the flavor that I'd never had before, Salted Caramel Minis, and oh my, they are heavenly! I seriously could've eaten the whole 5 ounce bag in one sitting. They have the perfect amount of sweet and salty, all in one tiny little bite. So full of flavor! They are gluten free but definitely not yummy free as no flavor was sacrificed. I also had a 5 ounce bag of the Gluten Free Original Mini crisps. They are just as good as the others. They are tiny and have just as much flavor and crunch. These new gluten free snacks offer the wholesome goodness and simple ingredient list that Pretzel Crisps fans love while providing gluten sensitive snackers with a delicious and guilt free option to share.

I saved the Original Pretzel Crisps for last since I eat them often. The 7.2 ounce bag doesn't last long between me and my son. We eat these all day long! I love to use these for dipping, whether it's hummus or a cheese-ball; they are strong enough to scoop up the perfect amount. The flat shape is wonderful for topping cheese and meats. My son and I like to stack cheese and pepperoni on them for our afternoon snack!

All of the Pretzel Crisps contain no saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, preservatives, artificial flavorings or colors. The also have 30% less calories than potato chips making them a better snack option. Pretzel Crips are all packaged in resealable bags and unlike some other bags I've used, the seal works great. The possibilities are endless with the delicious snacks and there are so many other flavors available. I can't wait to look at some others in the deli section of my grocery store soon!

Pretzel Crisps are great in recipes too! Find many delicious recipes on the Pretzel Crisps website or make these adorable mummy snacks in time for Halloween!

Simply spread a soft cheese on each Pretzel Crisps cracker and cover with strips of cheese (I used a cut up string cheese). For eyes, use black olives or raisins.
