DIY Kiss Print

By Jennifer Boaz, Lenoir NC Mom & MacKid Guest Writer May 2, 2017

What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day for moms of girls than with lots and lots of kisses?! I was on the hunt for some new and fun artwork for my wall when I ran across an awesome way to create a new print while spending quality and loving time with my girls... after all, they are the reason I get to celebrate this wonderful day. Here is what you can do to create this precious print:

  • Shop for inexpensive lipstick in different shades of pink. Bonus: I promised the girls they could keep the hot pink ones after our project!
  • Choose a frame, with or without a mat, and a white piece of paper (cardstock would work great) for the background. Bonus: I already had this frame in my closet just waiting to fill it with something special. Choose a frame you already have that is in need of a new picture or updated artwork.
  • Cut your cardstock/paper to the correct size for your frame.
  • Pucker up and start with one color on yourself and your girl(s) and begin applying random kisses all over the white paper. Get ready for lots of sweet giggles!
  • Once you have filled up part of the paper, wipe your lips and apply a different lipstick shade. Continue this until you have enough kisses to fill up the paper to your liking.
  • Wait for the lipstick kisses to dry (about 30 minutes) before putting the print in the frame.
My girls had such a fun time making this project, and I smile with my pink lipstick-coated lips every time I walk by our picture and think about our kissable, lovable Mother’s Day afternoon!
