Looking to hit the town to ring in the New Year? There are a number of fun events scheduled in and around the Hickory/Western Piedmont area for a kid-friendly New Year's Eve celebration the whole family will enjoy.

Northlake Mall Noon Year's Eve (Charlotte)
Enjoy a family-style New Year’s that the little ones can stay awake for! Celebrate the “Noon Year” and ring in the New Year family style at Northlake Mall! The party begins at 10:30 a.m. with games, arts and crafts, and live music with Mr. Nigel & Friends! Ring in the New Year with a balloon drop as the clock strikes 12:00 p.m. NOON! The first 300 MallStars will receive a FREE gift.

Countdown to NOON! (Rutherfordton)
For some of us, 12:00 is way past our bedtime, so ringing in the New Year can be a little tough! To make sure everyone still has fun, KidSenses is returning its annual Countdown to Noon! There will be crafts, a musical parade, treats while supplies last, and of course, our grand finale balloon drop countdown at noon!

Family New Year's Celebration (Morganton)
Join Burke County Library for a special family celebration! Stories, crafts, bubbles, confetti, dancing, music, and refreshments... a good time for all!

New Year's Eve Eve Family Bash (Beech Mountain)
Why wait until New Year's Eve to celebrate? Come to Beech Mountain's Buckeye Recreation Center for a Family Fest on New Year's Eve Eve. We will have family activities and games with food, crafts and the most crucial element, a kid-friendly countdown with a gigantic balloon drop at 7:45pm!

Discovery Place KIDS New Year's at Noon (Huntersville)
Three, two, one… Happy New Year! Create noise makers and decorations at stations throughout the Museum. Then join us for a balloon drop at 11:45 a.m. in Town Center (right after the Big Fun dance party) to help us ring in the New Year.

DSBG Sparkle & Glow New Year's Eve (Belmont)
Celebrate New Year’s Eve with a family-friendly event featuring New Year’s Eve traditions from around the world, live music and a glowing hula hoop performance. The first 250 guests will receive glow stick gear! A sparkling wine tasting will also be available for an additional cost.

Skateland New Year's Eve Party (Newton)
Ring in the New Year while skating at Skateland at their NYE Party starting at 7:00pm followed by a glow skate midnight to 2am.

New Year's All Night Skate (Morganton)
12 hours of skating from 7pm to 7am at Pavillion Skating features Twist the Balloon Man, Games, Prizes, Breakfast at 6a (sausage biscuit, hashbrown & drink) and a chance to win a FREE pair of Roller Skates!!

BMR New Year’s Eve Family Night (Beech Mountain)
Play Beech Mountain BINGO with tons of great prizes, get moving with our very own kid's DJ spinning fun party tunes, lace up your ice skates for a New Year's Eve Late Night Ice Skate, and top it off with an awesome fireworks show at Beech Mountain Resort.

CLT New Year’s Eve (Charlotte)
The Queen City's official New Year's Eve celebration starts at 8pm. This annual Charlotte tradition will include food vendors, food trucks, a DJ, live music by Sol Fusion, the lighting of the Queen City crown, and a huge CLT NYE fireworks display starting at midnight.

App Ski Mountain New Year's Eve Extravaganza (Blowing Rock)
Join Appalachian Ski Mtn for New Year’s Eve and ring in 2018 in style! Fireworks, torchlight skiing and more! Moonlight ice skating from 10 pm to midnight. Festive Restaurant Specials also available from 9pm to midnight.

New Year's Eve - Downtown Marion Celebration (Marion)
Come out to historic downtown Marion to ring in the New Year with music, food, carriage rides and more! There will be a variety of activities, including a scavenger hunt with cash prizes, a DJ playing music on the Courthouse lawn and more throughout Main Street, ending with the dropping of a replica gold nugget at Midnight into Mr. Bob's 10 foot giant donut.

Sugar Mountain's New Year’s Eve Celebration (Sugar Mountain)
A New Year’s Eve celebration mountain style! The general public is invited, free of charge to an alpine torch light parade at 11:45 p.m. and the fireworks show at midnight.
