Featured Summer Camp ~ CCC&TI eXtreme SuperSummer Camp

and Kids in the Kitchen

May 3, 2018

This summer, Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Continuing Education Division will once again offer Extreme Super Summer Camp for kids ages 5 and up and Kids in the Kitchen camps for kids ages 9 and up. The programs will feature week-long courses and daily activities Monday through Friday.

Super Summer Camp sessions are held on the Caldwell Campus from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. daily. Each Super Summer session covers two topics with students separated into different age groups to allow each program to be customized with age-appropriate activities. Early drop-off and late pickup are available. Kids can explore fun topics such as robotics, pottery and art, superhero and ComiCon, pinewood derby and sports/fitness including dance, cheer, martial arts, archery, basketball, and soccer. There's also an opportunity for rising high schoolers to explore a wide variety of health-related career fields.

Kids in the Kitchen camps are offered on both the Caldwell and Watauga campuses and are held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. daily. Students can learn the secrets behind baking, chocolate, and candies to create awesome treats or enjoy a week of pizza making, complete with a dough tossing contest! The Kids in the Kitchen camps are extremely popular with the older kids because not only do they get to learn new things in the kitchen but they get to eat what they make.

CCC&TI's camps get bigger and better every year. The programs are designed to engage students as early as five years of age with topics that will keep them entertained and interested in learning all summer long. This year new themes have been added to include superheroes, archery, and music. We have a lot of students that come back year after year to try new camps or to repeat some of their favorites.  We are extremely excited for this year's camps and encourage parents to register early to guarantee their child's place.
