Crafting Programs for Summer 2018

June 6, 2018

Keep your kids' creative juices flowing over school break by having them participate in a summer crafting program. Crafting not only sparks a child's imagination and self-expression, it also improves their coordination, builds fine motor skills, and boosts their self-esteem. And it's a great indoor activity to beat the summer heat or escape a thunderstorm.

Here is an overview of some inexpensive crafting programs to choose from in our local area this summer. You'll find all of these on our calendar under the appropriate dates and if you know of any others not mentioned here, please email me at annah@macaronikid.com.

Michaels Camp Creativity
2195 US Hwy 70 SE in Hickory, (828) 261-0231

AC Moore Kids' Crafternoons
1862 Catawba Valley Boulevard SE in Hickory, (828) 229-7569

Make & Take at ReSource Warehouse
451 11th Street NW in Hickory, (828) 256-2695

Kids (and adults) can make their own crafts with the help of a creative and talented leader, while supporting Safe Harbor Rescue Mission Inc. This is a year-round program! And this summer, starting June 17th, 2018, Make & Take at ReSource Warehouse will be offered every day, Monday-Saturday 11am-3pm!
