Kids are Free at the Biltmore Memorial Day through Labor Day

May 20, 2018

Whatever your age, Biltmore is a wonderful family escape. The majestic castle is the perfect place to immerse yourselves in a magical setting and create lifelong memories. The 8,000-acre backyard of America's largest home offers glorious gardens and open spaces with mountain views as the location for fantastic kid-friendly fun. In addition to exploring the chateau, families can play at Pisgah Playground, eat and shop at Antler Hill Village, visit farmyard animals at The Farm, dance to live music, partake in various outdoor activities (like horseback riding, river float trips, fly fishing, bicycle rentals, and Segway tours), enjoy special exhibits or events, and lots more.

The Biltmore Estate is very family oriented. Every restaurant is kid-friendly, the winery not only allows children but it also offers them complimentary grape juice, lightweight strollers are allowed (and encouraged) for touring the Biltmore House, and there are many family-friendly activities to enjoy (don't miss the creamery and the wine-stomp!). Check out these tips for planning your family visit and suggested itineraries for family fun.

And the best part... Memorial Day through Labor Day annually, kids 16 and younger are admitted free (up to two kids per adult ticket)! The rest of the year, kids ages 9 and younger are admitted free when accompanied by a paying parent or guardian. Other special offers throughout the year include $10 savings on advance daytime admission, reduced admission for moms on Mother's Day and dads on Father's Day weekends, senior and military discounts and more.

Located in Asheville, less than an hour and half drive from Hickory, the Biltmore is a great family day-trip this summer, or any time of the year. For more information about the estate and to plan your visit, check out their website at www.biltmore.com or call 877-BILTMORE.
