Bright Star Touring Theatre brings the stories and songs of Africa to life in a joyful performance at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library on Saturday, February 23rd at 11:00 a.m. This nationally acclaimed children’s theatre company will present African Folktales, celebrating the various folk traditions from the Sahara to the Serengeti to Mount Kilimanjaro and beyond. Traditional music from the continent of Africa helps set the stage for these energetic stories, which include Anansi and porquoi tales along with lots of information about this incredible continent. Kids of all ages and their families will love this vibrant and energetic show. All ages are welcomed to the show geared toward a K-5th grade audience.
