If your baseball player is looking to hone his skills, the Hickory Crawdads is offering two trainings that will help! The Hickory Crawdads host two events a year in conjunction with Barkley Baseball School at LP Frans Stadium. The first is coming up on Saturday, April 13th, 2019 from 2:30pm to 4:45pm and is a free clinic. Barkley Baseball School will be at the stadium with a team of talented, experienced coaches to provide instruction to campers. In addition, several Hickory Crawdads players will also be on hand to share tips and advice.
The second event takes place from Tuesday, July 23rd to Friday, July 26th, 2019. A four-day camp will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM each day and includes instruction from Crawdads players, a tour of the Crawdads clubhouse, lunch each day, a free tee shirt, a pre-game parade on July 26th, and free tickets to the games on July 23 through the 26th, 2019. The camp is $99, if registered before July 5th, and $80 for Claw Club Members.
During the trainings, participants rotate in stations working on different skills such as hitting, fielding grounders, footwork, catching popups, and more. The age range for the camps is 5-14.
