Lenoir-Rhyne University Men's Soccer Team is celebrating the soccer community in Hickory and the surrounding areas. On Friday, April 12, 2019, the LRU Men's Soccer Team will be hosting a night of fun activities and player interaction with their Community Appreciation Night. Gates open at 5:30pm, and admission for the event is FREE!
The event will take place on the Lenoir-Rhyne University soccer field in front of a new grandstand. Fans will have a chance to meet and interact with the first Men's Soccer team in LRU history to become South Atlantic Conference Champions! As well as the opportunity to meet the players, there will be food trucks from Urban Flavor and The Latin Twist Café, plus a bake sale, a raffle, the chance to meet Joe Bear, face painting, and live music by DJ Slikk. Plus, participants can try soccer activities and competitions, including a juggling competition, a penalty kick station and many more.
LRU Men's Soccer wants to thank the Hickory area community for all for their support and looks forward to seeing everyone there. Attendees will also have the chance to watch a soccer game between two local clubs, CVYSA Blast and YCVSC Eagles, as well as a half-time show involving the LRU Bears Soccer players.
