Catawba Science Center offers 11 weeks of exciting, age-appropriate and fun-filled science classes with their Summer Fun camps! Located at 243 Third Ave NE, Hickory, NC 28601, Catawba Science Center serves up themed learning all summer long, with options for before and after camp enrichment with SunRise Science and Afternoon Adventures! Summer Fun SciFun Classes for youth in grades Pre-K - 9th
held Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Choose from 11 weeks of exciting and fun-filled science classes designed for specific age groups. Each week features a different class theme, with all activities centering around that topic. Registration is first-come, first-served by prepayment.
Cost: $85* member / $110* non-member

Summer Fun Extended Day Options available for busy schedules
Class participants entering grades first through ninth can spend a full day at the Science Center camp.
Sunrise Science for youth in grades Pre-K - 9th graders
held Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 10:00am
Supervised independent learning experiences, science-related games and exhibit visits before CSC opens to the public!
Cost*: $20 member / $25 non-member
(All rates prorated for 3 or 4 day weeks)
Summer Fun Afternoon Adventures for 1st - 9th graders
held Monday - Friday, Noon to 5:30pm
Supervised activities include indoor and outdoor games, scavenger hunts and themed parties. Enrolled participants will go on field trips to great local attractions: swimming, movie outings to Carolina Theater, City of Hickory parks, Patrick Beaver Memorial Library (young campers) and bowling (older campers). Activities will vary each week and will keep campers entertained and wanting to come back for more Summer Fun. The schedule of planned activities will be available at the start of each week.
Cost*: $75 member / $100 non-member

*Additional fee for SunRise Science and/or Afternoon Adventures if not registered for SciFun Classes.
