The FUNTASTIC and HIGH-FLYING Harlem Wizards are coming to town for some #SLAMTASTIC Fun!! Hosted by the Blackburn Elementary School PTO, the Harlem Wizards will be bringing their Tricks, Hoops and Alley Oops! to the Fred T. Foard High School gymnasium in Newton, on Thursday, February 13th, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Read on for more details!
The Harlem Wizards have a unique mission: create awe-inspiring events throughout the country. At a Wizards game, fans will witness amazing basketball talent combined with hilarious comedy. Its two hours of family time where parents, grandparents, and kids can all laugh together. When you’re in the stands, you’re more than a spectator; you’re part of the show with loads of audience participation. Throughout the game, fans will experience a magical display of tricks, coordinated ball handling, fancy passing and aerodynamic athleticism combined with high-energy comedy and audience interaction. The Harlem Wizards will be playing against the Blackburn Bobcats; a team featuring teachers and staff from Blackburn Elementary and other Catawba County Schools. Who will your kids be cheering for: the High Flying Wizards, or their favorite teachers and faculty? Do the Bobcats stand a chance? Come find out!
Advance tickets to the game are:
General Admission:
$10 for students and $12 for adults for general admission (children 3 & under will be admitted free of charge).
Reserved Seating:
$18 and include special reserved seating close to court and a free team poster.
Courtside plus:
$28 (limited availability) includes courtside reserved seating, a 10-minute meet & greet with 2-3 Wizard players, a souvenir lanyard, a free team photo, and a $10 discount on Wizards replica jersey. Become a Wiz Kid by purchasing a Wizards replica jersey for $45 and join the players on the court for some pre-game fun including a personal introduction to the crowd, warm-up with the Wizards, participation in the Wizards grand entrance and a group photo with both teams.
Purchase your tickets online, or at the door if seating is still available. Day of pricing: $12 for students and $14 for adults. This is a joint FUNdraiser for Blackburn Elementary School, Banoak Elementary School, and Mountain View Elementary School. Refreshments will be available for purchase (cash or credit). Doors open at 5 pm- the game starts at 6 pm.
