Virtual Camp for Kids Dealing with Loss

May 14, 2020

Comfort Zone recognizes that many families are grieving the loss of a loved one from and during the COVID-19 pandemic. These losses are especially hard for families who are forced to grieve alone and do not have the opportunity to formally say goodbye to their loved ones.

In an effort to support these families, Comfort Zone is offering a virtual COVID-19 camp for youth ages 13-25 on Saturday, May 30th from 12pm – 2:30pm EST (9am – 11:30am PST). There will also be a parent/guardian program taking place simultaneously for those whose child(ren) are participating in the virtual camp.

These resources are offered at no cost to families and are open to anyone grieving the death of a close loved one (parent/guardian, sibling, grandparent, or friend) who died as a result of or during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our goal is to help families break their isolation, express their feelings, and gain coping skills to help navigate through this trying time.
