Are you looking for something fun & creative to do as a family?
Whether you are a professional artist or an “Art Dabbler” Hickory Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism along with Hickory Downtown Development Association, Hickory Museum of Art and Catawba County Chamber of Commerce are teaming together to offer a three day Chalk Our Walk Challenge.
Where: Highland Recreation Center, 1451 8th St. Dr. NE, Hickory
When: September 17th, 18th from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and September 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Who: Ages 3 & up
There are three competitive categories and three non-competitive categories to choose from. You'll have a 3-hour block of time to design a masterpiece. For registering you will receive 1 box of complimentary chalk. Rules do apply. Register early spaces are limited. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 in each competitive category. Plus, a Best in Show and People’s Choice Award (which will include competitive and non-competitive works).
