Fall Family Fun at Red Wolf Farm

October 7, 2021

October is a very strong contender for my favorite month of the year, albeit I'm a little bit biased since this is my birthday month. There is just something about the lingering summer sun and the chill in the air that promises colder winder weather that just feels like home to me. Not to mention this is the perfect time of the year to head outside with your family for some old-fashioned quality family time.

I think that is why families from all over flock to the foothills to visit our farms, and why you should too!

If you haven't been to visit a farm yet this year let me recommend Red Wolf Farm. Red Wolf Farm is located in Maiden, North Carolina, and they have a ton of great family fun to offer. Every year they have a pumpkin patch, corn maze, tractor rides, and more.

We paid them a visit last weekend for their opening weekend. They're open for the public on Saturdays and Sundays all month- and they host school field trips and homeschool groups too! Admission is $6 per person, under 2 are admitted free, all the activities are included and the entire area is fenced, so you can feel good about letting your kids run from one thing to the other.

Our kids loved the freedom of being able to run from one activity to the next - and since the entire area is fenced in, we didn't have to worry about them enjoying some "free-range fun" on the farm. They spent a lot of time playing in the huge inflatable slides and loved being able to crawl around in the giant stock tanks of corn.

Red Wolf offers a Kid's Maze and an Adventure Maze. Check out their website for pictures of the design! The kid's enjoyed this alot, and it was hard to get them to stop for pictures. There are also always tons of great food vendors and crafts to check out, and don't forget to stop by the pumpkin patch on your way out!
