| Choral singing strengthens a sense of togetherness and belonging and has been shown to even decrease anxiety. If you have ever sung in unison around a campfire, you may remember that sense of joy and freedom that comes from singing together. The Hickory Choral Society is hosting a choral camp this summer to foster a love for choral singing in kids who are rising 4th through 6th graders. Description:
The camp is designed to enhance the current educational system by making music in an atmosphere of fun and friendship and to develop an interest in and foster an appreciation of choral music. Students will start each day with clinic and wrap up by enjoying the various SALT Block venues. The camp will conclude on Friday with a parent/family/friends observation time.
