Welcome to Sunset Ridge
Spring is here, summer is around the corner and Sunset Ridge Farm and its entire
family is excited to welcome everyone out to the farm for all the upcoming events and
camps that we have planned!
For over 14 years Sunset Ridge Farms has been a part of the Hickory area’s community
offering horse boarding, training and riding lessons. Over the years we have been at a
couple of different locations, and though we loved each and everyone we have always
been on the hunt for a location that we can call our permanent home and that is set up
to provide all the services that we strive to offer as well as new programs that we have
had in the works over the years. Finally in December of 2024 Sunset Ridge moved into
its new permanent home in Hudson, NC. The perfect location to continue to serve
customers that we have had over the years from Alexander, Catawba and Caldwell
counties, as well as now we have welcomed several customers from the Boone and
Blowing Rock areas. We are so excited to welcome everyone to our new home as we
announce our Jump Into Spring Open House and Festival featuring a FREE EGG
HUNT for kids on April 19 th 10am-4pm.
While you are at the Jump into Spring Festival please be sure to not only enjoy our
many vendors that will be set up including Anywherez Fine Food Truck, please be sure
to stop by our many informational tables to enter raffles for door prizes as well as learn
about our following programs!
Summer Camps- This is what everyone has been asking for!! Summer Camps! We will
have several different camps this year ranging from weeklong Reading and Riding
Camps to day long Little Buckaroos camps just for the small ones.
Riding Lessons- Did you know that our riding instructors have over 60 years combined
experience as well as our two primary instructors are Elementary school educators?
Whether you have a 3-year-old who is interested in one of our awesome Pony
Experiences or you’re a beginner adult looking to try something new we have a program
for you!!! Not sure if you are ready to ride? No problem, we also offer grooming and
ground lessons intended to teach humans to better understand and communicate with
horses.
Pony Powered Reading- We have an incredible team of mini horses and NC Licensed
Educators who have a passion for helping students with reading through educational
games, story times, and private tutoring. Our minis can go on site to after school
programs, visit schools for story times. We also offer private and group tutoring at our
farm as well as Riding and Reading camps over the summer.
Birthday Parties- Coming this Spring we will have our birthday party picnic area open.
Party with our mini horses and ponies and pick a birthday package that best suits your
child’s style!
Mothers Daughter Tea Party- We are having a very special Mothers Day event at the
Farm with our mini horses acting as hosts, bring your mother, daughter, sister,
grandmother, aunt or that other very special woman in your life for tea, refreshments,
photos with the minis and more!
