More Than a Class...A Place Where Kids Love to Move

If you've ever watched a preschooler race across a playground, dance in the kitchen, or jump into a pile of leaves, you know one thing is true:

Children were made to move.

At Stretch-n-Grow of the Foothills, we've been celebrating that joy since 2007, helping thousands of local children build happy, healthy hearts through movement, nutrition, kindness, and play.

What started as one fitness class has grown into something much bigger.

Today, our PLAYstudio in Downtown Hickory is a one-stop destination for families with children from birth through age 10. Whether your child loves to dance, tumble, sing, pretend, climb, stretch, play sports, or simply explore, there's a place for them here.

But here's the secret...

We don't believe we're in the business of teaching dance, fitness, or sports.

We believe we're in the business of helping children discover who they are.

Every class is designed to build confidence, encourage creativity, develop healthy habits, and remind children that moving their bodies should be joyful - not something they "have" to do.

Our classrooms are filled with pirates searching for treasure, superheroes saving the day, astronauts blasting into space, musicians discovering rhythm, and little yogis learning how to calm big feelings. Every lesson is built around one simple belief:

Children learn best through play.

A Place for Parents, Too

We know parenting little ones is one of life's greatest joys...and sometimes one of its biggest challenges.

That's why we've intentionally created the PLAYstudio to be more than a children's activity center.

We want it to be a community.

A place where parents meet other parents. Where grandparents make memories. Where caregivers find encouragement. Where children build lifelong friendships. Because childhood is better when it's shared.

We Come to Your School, Too!

In addition to our PLAYstudio classes, Stretch-n-Grow partners with preschools throughout our community to bring enrichment programs directly to children during the school day.

Families simply register for the classes they want, and we do the rest! Our instructors escort children from their classrooms, teach an engaging enrichment class, and return them smiling, active, and ready to learn—no extra driving or evening commitments for busy families.
