2019 Dates & Themes:
- Steel Drum Workshop for ages 12 to adult
June 17-21 6:30-7:30pm nightly
The class will be exposed to Caribbean music and history of the steel drums, as well as learning how to play this exotic instrument. No instruments are required; the only requirement is some ability to read music. - African Drumming Workshop for ages 8 to adult
June 17-21 7:30-8:30pm nightly
This class will teach basic hand drumming techniques, basic African history and traditions, as well as improvisation. No instrument or experience is required. - A public performance will conclude the workshops on Saturday, June 22 the week of the camp at 10am at the downtown Hickory Farmers Market.

This is Cline's 13th year of workshops which are supported by the Piedmont Percussion Program, a community percussion program for kids ages 6-18. P3 offers lessons on all areas of percussion to expose kids to the vast world of percussion instruments with performance as the main goal.
