Hickory Public Library is a department of the City of Hickory. The library has two locations: the main library, the Patrick Beaver Memorial Library and the Ridgeview Branch Library.

Residents of Hickory and Catawba County, LR students, employees of the City, Catawba County Government or Hickory Public Schools may register for a Library account free of charge. Out-of-county borrowers may register with an annual fee.
Over Due Fees
HPL does not charge daily overdue fees or fines for late materials.
