Dogs on the Catwalk, Pooches on Parade

Join Morganton’s Downtown Development Association to celebrate Independence Day in red, white and blue style on Saturday, July 3rd at Dogs on the Catwalk Event with a Pooch Parade to follow! This fun event requires participants to dress their dogs up in Fourth of July themed apparel and strut their stuff on the red carpet catwalk before joining up with other contestants for a pooch parade in the designated streets of Morganton. Event is appropriate for ages 18 and up unless otherwise accompanied by an adult. There will be a photo opportunity on the red carpet for you and “your best friend” and judges nearby to score them in three different categories: Best dressed, Best Duo (costumes for both you and your pooch) and Best in Show! Water bowls will be spread out along the designated doggie destinations! More information soon to follow regarding where the catwalk will be located, line up and the path of the pooch parade! Is your "best friend" shy, aggressive or doesn't like competition? No worries! They can stay at home and you can tell them all about it later in the day!
