Description
National Train Day is an annual celebration held to recognize the history and importance of trains in the United States. The Southeastern Narrow Gauge and Shortline Museum at the Newton Depot is hosting many activities to celebrate!

We will have many activities for all to enjoy including: trackless ride-on train, locomotive cab rides, scavenger hunt, live music, children's activity and craft area, model train layouts, museum tours and demonstrations, gift shop and more! There is a fee to ride the trackless train and locomotive cab rides. One drawing from the Scavenger Hunt will win a family four pack to Tweetsie Railroad. Lunch is available across the street at The Narrow Gauge Coffee and Cafe. Drinks and snacks available for purchase at our event.
