Local Social Groups and Clubs for Moms

Socialize, Make Friends, and Spend Time with Women who understand

Motherhood can be isolating. Having friendships with women who are in a similar season (and zip code) can make such a huge difference. A social life is great for you, and great for your kiddos too! So let's make it a little easier to meet your tribe- Here is a list of social groups, support groups and clubs where other women are looking to connect with you; whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a work-from-home mom, or a go-to-work mom; we have a group of women for you to connect with! 




MOPS & MOMSnext Hickory
First United Methodist Church, 311 3rd Ave NE

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, but we also have a MOMSnext group so we welcome moms with kids of any age! We believe that better moms make a better world and we are committed to making sure every mother knows she’s not alone! We are a group of moms that meet monthly for coffee, Jesus, and friendship. Along with meetings, we also host play dates and moms night out events throughout the year.

What to expect: Breakfast, Speakers and videos, Fellowship, Mentor Interaction, Crafts and Activities, Service Projects, Childcare
Cost to join: $100 for the year (can be payable by semester) which includes international MOPS dues and local dues to cover childcare, supplies, crafts, and speakers.
When: Second Tuesday of each month September through May

Mommies & Munchkins 
Children's Resource Center, 738 4th Street SW, Hickory, NC 28602

Mommies & Munchkins is a mom & baby focused play group where you will have the space to share stories, build relationships, connect to resources & embrace the eventful journey of motherhood. Come and join with other moms to talk, learn, share & play!

What to expect: Friendship, Crafts, Activities,

The MOMS Club® of Hickory 

We provides friendship, support, and community to our members and their families. Mostly, we are a fun way to meet other moms! Whether you stay at home full-time, work part-time, or have a home-based business, if you are with your children during the day, we have activities for you and your child. We aren't meant to do this alone! Share the joys and struggles of motherhood with a caring group of fellow moms! 

What to expect: Park play dates, Kid crafts, Library story times, Coffee meetups, Field trips, Lunches at kid-friendly restaurants, Moms' Nights Out, Holiday parties with food, activities, and fun, Charity events (we host fundraisers throughout the year to benefit the greater community) AND SO MUCH MORE!

Lakeview Moms

The After Baby Club
Natural Beginnings Birth and Wellness Center, 1420 Fern Creek Dr, Statesville

The After Baby Club is a place for moms to gather for support and community. Facilitated by the postpartum doulas of For Love of Baby for moms with newborns - 1 year olds

What to expect: Professional guidance, discussion topics including sleep, soothing, time for you, feeding, bonding, playing with your baby.
