Conover City Park ~ A Review

Nature themed playgrounds, splash pad, walking trails and more!

I took my four children (ages 3-9) to the new Conover Park with a splash pad one day last week.  I have been wishing and waiting for one of these to open in our area, and was beyond thrilled when I heard about the new park!

Not only does the park have a splash pad that can accommodate many children, it also has two playgrounds, a walking trail around a pond, plenty of grassy areas for a picnic lunch, and a beautiful covered picnic area with grills that can be used while you are at the park or be rented out for birthday parties.  Public restrooms are available.

The day we were at the park my children played in the splash pad until they were tired and then would run down the hill and play on the playgrounds for a while until they were hot, and then return to the splash pad to cool off!  We are very excited that Conover has added this fun park and will be visiting it many times this summer.

The Conover City Park is located at 361 5th Ave SE within the Conover Station development and next door to the Conover Branch Library. The splash pad is open 11am - 8pm daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Learn more in this great video about the park produced by Catawba Communities.
